The Secretariat General of Information & Communication – Secretariat General of Mass Media represented by the Library of the Analysis and Documentation Directorate, in collaboration with the Hellenic Competition Commission, organise a full-day event themed “Government Information and Libraries: production – management – access”.

This event follows the organisation of a Working Session titled “Government Information and Libraries”, which was organised by the SGMM-SGIC and the Association of Greek Librarians and Information Professionals in the context of the 22nd EBLIDA–NAPLE Annual Conference. The main goal of the working session was to set the grounds regarding the identification of the key stakeholders in the process of producing, managing and accessing government information, along with setting the basis for developing collaborative networks, mainly towards resource sharing and providing added value services to citizens as well as the government.

The event is focused on the empowerment of actions regarding open access to government information for citizens as well as motivating the sector of government libraries and raising awareness of their role in this context. The event addresses employees and officials of the public administration who produce, manage and require access to government information, along with anyone interested in this field.

Participation is free of charge, but registration is required.
