COREPER I trip

Thursday, 10 April 2014 to Saturday, 12 April 2014

Athens

The COREPER working visits have been established as a means to allow COREPER members to become better acquainted with the country exercising the rotating EU Presidency. COREPER members (Permanent Representatives and Deputy Permanent Representatives of all member states, as well as members of the European Commission and the General Secretariat of the Council) contribute to important legislative work. It is essential, therefore, that they participate in the working visits and gain a better understanding of the economy, policies and priorities of the country exercising the EU Presidency.

In this context, the COREPER I trip to Greece will provide the Greek Presidency with the opportunity to present and promote its policies and priorities in the industrial, technological, maritime and cultural sectors, with targeted visits and relevant presentations. During this working visit, taking place in Athens, we will bring our guests into contact with modern and innovative Greek enterprises and Greece’s cultural wealth and long maritime tradition.
