The exhibition “Being Jewish” by Austrian photographer Peter Rigaud, which has been already shown in Rome, Milan, Berlin, Prague and Vilnius, will be on display from 16 June at the Jewish Museum of Greece. The exhibition contains impressive portraits and interviews of Jewish personalities of all social classes, different ages and backgrounds – including from Greece. Every one of them has been asked about the question of identity and their cultural and intellectual roots.
The artist Peter Rigaud had the individuals telling him about the personnel meaning of Jewish identity, with astonishing and in-depth answers. Each photo model has also chosen an Alter Ego justifying this choice. The Alter Egos have also been photographed and are depicted next to the photo of the model, the “Ego”. The exhibition is under the auspices of the Greek Presidency of the Council of the EU.
