Athens Video Art Festival is an International Festival of Digital Arts and New Media. It celebrates digital culture through an annual gathering that brings together a global community of artists and audiences. The Festival supports contemporary artistic trends, within the frame of the urban culture out of which it originates in 2005. By using as a primary tool its diverse program it pursues within this frame a multitude of goals. It has welcome more than 11,500 projects in seven official categories - Video Art, Animation, Installations, Performances, Digital Image, Applications, Music.
