The European Diplomatic Programme is organized by the European External Action Service (EEAS), in cooperation with the rotating Presidency of the EU and is aimed at junior diplomats from the EU member-states, as well as from the European External Action Service (EEAS), the European Commission and the Council Secretariat officials.
The current, 14th EDP cycle, the central theme of which is "Emerging challenges and global issues in modern diplomacy", started in Vilnius on 21-22 October 2013 and will be completed in Athens on 27-28 May 2014.
In the framework of the 4th module of the programme, which takes place in Athens, the following 3 sub-topics will be discussed:
A) Economy: Growth and Jobs
B) Migration: Challenges and Opportunities
C) Policy in Maritime Security regarding Piracy
The Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in cooperation with the EEAS, is organizing, in parallel, the informal meeting of the Directors of Studies of the Diplomatic Academies of the EU.
