CIVCOM (Committee for Civilian Aspects of Crisis Management) provides information, drafts recommendations and gives its opinion to the Political Security Committee (PSC) on civilian aspects of crisis management in the field of Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP). CIVCOM is composed of representatives of the EU member states and is permanently chaired by the European External Action Service. Their meetings take place in Brussels approximately three times per week. There is also one informal meeting of the group that takes place at the country holding the Presidency of the Council of the EU.
