The General State Archives of Greece organize in Athens the 29th Conference of the EBNA and 16th Meeting of the EAG within the framework of the Greek Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The meetings will be held on 5 – 6 June 2014 at Zappeion Megaron.

The EBNA and EAG meetings constitute significant meetings in the field of archives in which distinguished representatives specialized in the archival subjects exchange their positions on the recent developments of the field.

In particular, EBNA is a gathering of the National Archivists (Directors-General) of the National Archives services of the European Union Member States.  EBNA convenes twice a year under the chairmanship of the current EU Presidency.  In their meetings the National Archivists discuss the strategic questions of their profession and services.  The meetings of EBNA are also attended by representatives of the National Archives of European countries outside of the EU and of applicant countries.
