The European Judicial Network in criminal matters (EJN-criminal) is a network for the facilitation of judicial co-operation in criminal matters. The network was created by the Joint Action 98/428 JHA of 29 June 1998 to fight serious crime in a decentralised, flexible and horizontal way. It is composed of Contact Points of the Member States, as well as of the European Commission and of a Secretariat based in The Hague. The Plenary Meetings taking place in the Member States are typically organised in the Member State holding the Presidency.
The 42nd Plenary meeting of EJN on 24 and 25 June focuses on the better understanding of national laws governing the practical implementation of the European Arrest Warrant. The meeting is organized by the Hellenic Ministry of Justice, Transparency and Human Rights and the Secretariat of the European Judicial Network.
