The Informal Council Meeting of EU Environment Ministers will take place on Wednesday, 14th May, at Zappeion Megaron.

The main items of the agenda are the cross-cutting thematic area of “Blue Growth” with a focus on the marine environment and specific climate change issues.

The meeting, chaired by Greek Minister of Environment, Energy and Climate Change, Yannis Maniatis, will be attended by EU Member States, Candidate and EFTA Countries’ ministers.

Furthermore, a working lunch will take place with a presentation by the Executive Director of UNEP, Mr. Achim Steiner on UN Environment Assembly and the role of UNEP in the Post-2015 development agenda.
