The Member States’ Gas Forum aims to generate discussions amongst Member States, the European Commission, industry representatives and the wider stakeholder community about key energy developments of relevance to the EU. For its third edition the event, organised by GasNaturally under the patronage of the Hellenic Presidency of the Council of the EU, will particularly focus on two important energy topics for Europe:
• The energy supply perspectives offered by new gas discoveries in the Eastern Mediterranean
• The definition of a new Energy System for Europe, in the context of current discussions on the 2030 Energy and Climate Framework
With eminent speakers such as Dominique Ristori, Director-General of DG Energy (European Commission) and Pr. Konstantinos Mathioudakis, Secretary General for Energy and Climate Change at the Ministry of Environment, Energy and Climate Change of Greece, the Member States’ Gas Forum will aim to identify convergence points for Europe’s energy future.
