The Athens Exchange, in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance are organizing a forum under the auspices of the Greek Presidency of the Council of the EU and the EC Task Force for Greece on 20 June aiming at presenting all initiatives that have been put in place in order to provide solutions to the issue of SME funding. Access to finance has rightly been identified as the most pressing problem faced by Greek SMEs and action needs to be taken now.
Putting this in context, in order to support economic recovery and employment in Greece, it is imperative to explore ways to ensure that startups and small, often overleveraged yet potentially growing, businesses obtain access to alternative sources of debt and equity funds.
In the conference policy makers and market participants will have the opportunity to obtain a good understanding of all initiatives undertaken by the EU and the Athens Exchange and discuss and agree a common strategy and action plan in order to optimize results.
Participants
• Around 300 public and industry representatives and stakeholders from Greece, Europe and international organisations.
• Attendance by invitation only.
