The Council's Permanent Representatives Committee today (12.03) approved the compromise reached between the Council and the European Parliament concerning an updated regulation on shipment of waste. It thereby endorsed the agreement reached on 6 March between the Greek Presidency of the Council and representatives of the European Parliament.

The new regulation contains strengthened measures to ensure a more uniform implementation of the waste shipment regulation throughout the EU.
