The official opening of the Hellenic Presidency of the Council of the EU in Brussels will take place on Tuesday, 14 January at 20:00, at one of the most prestigious cultural venues in Brussels, the Bozar Center for Fine Arts. 

 

The Armonia Atenea orchestra, headed by Greek conductor George Petrou, with soprano Myrsini Margariti and mezzos Mary-Ellen Nesi and Irini Karagianni will present a programme that focuses on baroque operas whose subject matter is taken from Greek mythology. 

 

The concert is an initiative of the Greek Permanent Representation to the EU and the Embassy of Greece in Brussels, and is being funded by the Greek Ministry for Foreign Affairs and the Stavros Niarchos Foundation.
