The European Union Committee of the Regions (CoR) is holding its 6th biennial European Summit of Regions and Cities, in Athens on 7 and 8 March 2014.

The Summit begins today (7.3.2014) with a session on Europe’s strategy for growth and jobs from a local and regional perspective.

The second day (8.3.2014), includes a debate about the forthcoming European elections, the future of the EU and the role of local government in bringing Europe closer to its citizens.
