The first Transport, Telecommunications and Energy Council, chaired by Greek Environment, Energy & Climate Change  minister, Yannis Maniatis, is taking place in Brussels on 4 March 2014, with Energy as its particular focus.

The main items that will be discussed at the meeting include:
•    Non legislative activities
•    A policy debate, in public deliberation, on a Commission Communication on "Energy prices and costs in Europe"
•    A policy debate, also in public deliberation, on a recent Commission Communication on "A policy framework for climate and energy in the period from 2020 to 2030"
Additionally, the Council is expected to adopt a number of items without discussion.
