Greek Presidency priorities in the field of Justice and Home Affairs to be presented before EP LIBE Committee, by the General Secretary of the Greek Ministry of Public Order and Citizen Protection, Patroklos Georgiadis (21.1.2014)

The General Secretary for Civil Protection of the Greek Ministry of Public Order and Citizen Protection, Patroklos Georgiadis, will be in Brussels today (21.1.2014), to present before the European Parliament Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs (LIBE), the priorities of the Greek Presidency in the field of Justice and Home Affairs, within the jurisdiction of his Ministry.
 
More specifically, in the area of combating illegal migration, a major priority of the Greek Presidency will be the “smart borders” legislative package. 
 
The General Secretary for Civil Protection will also discuss the future development in the EU Justice and Home Affairs area and the Schengen Area enlargement to include Bulgaria and Romania.
