Education issues on the agenda of EYCS Council today

The first Council of Ministers of Education of the European Union, chaired Greek Minister of Education and Religious Affairs, Konstantinos Arvanitopoulos, is taking place today in Brussels. The Council will be devoted to education issues and the main items on the agenda include:
• The adoption of Council conclusions on efficient and innovative education and training to invest in skills
• A public policy debate on developing skills and enhancing employability in the light of recent OECD surveys (PIAAC and PISA)
In addition, the Greek Presidency will propose to the European Commission to take action for implementing the proposal made by the European Parliament to establish a European Day against bullying and violence.
